The Storm / Still series (2015 - 2016) was an exploration of the influence of place on my mental state. As I sat on a small rocky beach in Dunure, Scotland I felt all my anxieties, all my exhaustion, all my sorrow flow away from me. In that place I found peace.

I made a series of quilts and panels using breakdown printed, thermofax printed and mono-printed fabrics. The fabrics were cut into long strips that were pieced together, layered and machine quilted. Additional elements were added using fused applique.

As part of my big house move clearance sale I have reduced the price of a couple of pieces in this series. Still 2 is stretched over a standard canvas and is supplied ready to hang.
