Liverpool Street, Salford (each panel 60cm x 154cm)
Originally exhibited together as an installation in 2017, the five panels are now for sale individually as part of my big house move clearance sale!
These pieces reference the beautiful gasworks that used to stand on Liverpool Street in Salford. Two great hulking structures in white painted cast iron that were part of the Salford landscape for over 100 years before being demolished in 2019. All that remains is the brick wall that surrounded the site. The brick wall that featured in Ewan McColl’s song Dirty Old Town.
The pieces are made with my breakdown printed fabrics, cut, pieced, layered and machine quilted.
Each panel is 60cm x 154cm with hanging sleeves at top and bottom. The five panels are numbered 1 to 5 from left to right. Please pick the number using the drop down menu.
